How to mine Quantus (QTC)
Quantus is quantum-secure money with a 21 million supply cap: proof of work, privacy-preserving, with ML-DSA-87 post-quantum signatures. Its QPoW work function is Poseidon2 hash grinding; mainnet launched on 9 September 2026. (Kryptex lists it as QTC; some exchanges use the ticker QUAN, and a different coin, Qubitcoin, also uses QTC.)

1Get a wallet
You need a Quantus address to receive what you mine. Use an official wallet:
- Quantus Wallet - iOS and Android, public beta
Quantus addresses use the SS58 format and start with qz.
Write the seed phrase down on paper and keep it offline. The miner and the pool only ever need the public address.
2Pick a pool
A pool combines many miners so you get paid steadily instead of waiting to find a whole block. Live fees and payouts for every pool are on the pools table.
Kryptex regions: add -eu, -us, -br, -sg, -hk, -ru or -ae after the coin in the host name (same ports). Port 7049 is plain, 8049 is TLS. Logins are wallet/worker; Kryptex's own templates also use wallet.worker for some miners. Kryptex does not support a custom difficulty for Quantus. LuckyPool's connection details are on its Quantus page. HeroMiners does not host Quantus.
3Pick a miner
| Miner | GPUs | Dev fee | Algorithm name | Download |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| KRig | AMD, NVIDIA, Intel Arc A750 (Linux) | not published | --coin quantus | official page |
| SRBMiner-MULTI | AMD, NVIDIA, Intel | 2 % | quantus | official page |
| BzMiner | AMD, NVIDIA, Intel | 2 % | quantus | official page |
| OneZeroMiner | NVIDIA | 2 % | quantus | official page |
WildRig's qhash is for Qubitcoin, a different coin. lolMiner and Rigel do not support Quantus. We measured 443 MH/s on an RX 7900 XTX and 331 MH/s on an RX 7900 XT with KRig 1.5.9 (18 October 2026).
4Set it up
Replace YOUR_WALLET with your address and YOUR_WORKER with a name for this machine. On Windows, save the line as a .bat file in the miner's folder and double-click it. On Linux, run it from the miner's folder.
KRig
@echo off
cd /d "%~dp0"
krig-miner.exe --coin quantus --url stratum+ssl://qtc.kryptex.network:8049 --user YOUR_WALLET/YOUR_WORKER
pause./krig-miner --coin quantus --url stratum+ssl://qtc.kryptex.network:8049 --user YOUR_WALLET/YOUR_WORKERKRig says 0 % on Pearl; it does not state its Quantus fee. Intel needs the Level Zero driver.
Syntax from the miner's own documentation.
SRBMiner-MULTI
@echo off
cd /d "%~dp0"
SRBMiner-MULTI.exe --disable-cpu --algorithm quantus --pool qtc.kryptex.network:8049 --wallet YOUR_WALLET.YOUR_WORKER --tls true
pause./SRBMiner-MULTI --disable-cpu --algorithm quantus --pool qtc.kryptex.network:8049 --wallet YOUR_WALLET.YOUR_WORKER --tls trueSyntax from the miner's own documentation.
BzMiner
@echo off
cd /d "%~dp0"
bzminer.exe -a quantus -p stratum+tcp://qtc.kryptex.network:7049 -w YOUR_WALLET --worker YOUR_WORKER
pause./bzminer -a quantus -p stratum+tcp://qtc.kryptex.network:7049 -w YOUR_WALLET --worker YOUR_WORKERBuilt from BzMiner's README flags with the Kryptex host (Kryptex does not list BzMiner for Quantus).
Syntax from the miner's own documentation.
OneZeroMiner
@echo off
cd /d "%~dp0"
onezerominer.exe -a quantus -o stratum+tcp://qtc.kryptex.network:7049 -w YOUR_WALLET.YOUR_WORKER
pause./onezerominer -a quantus -o stratum+tcp://qtc.kryptex.network:7049 -w YOUR_WALLET.YOUR_WORKERNeeds NVIDIA driver 528.33 or newer.
Syntax from the miner's own documentation.
5Check it works
- Within a few minutes the miner should print accepted shares. Rejected or stale shares above a few percent mean a problem with the connection, the clocks or the pool address.
- Open your pool's dashboard and search for your address. Your worker appears after its first shares; pool hashrate settles over an hour or so.
- Watch temperatures for the first hour: GPU core, hotspot and memory.
Warnings and cautions
Quantus-specific
- Check the ticker before you buy or sell: Quantus is QTC at Kryptex but QUAN on some exchanges, and Qubitcoin also trades as QTC.
- Solo mining with the official node pays to a "wormhole address" and its guide runs on macOS and Linux (WSL2 on Windows); pool mining is simpler.
- Quantus is young (mainnet September 2026): network hashrate and price have moved fast, so re-check profitability often.
For every coin
- Download miners only from the official page. Use the GitHub release or website linked in the miner table. Fake miners that steal wallets or mine to someone else are common. Where the developer publishes SHA-256 checksums, compare them before the first start (Windows:
Get-FileHash .\file.zip -Algorithm SHA256; Linux:sha256sum file.tar.gz). - Antivirus warnings. Windows Defender and other antivirus tools flag almost every GPU miner as a "potentially unwanted" program, because malware bundles them. Add a folder exclusion only for a miner you downloaded from its official page and checked, and never turn protection off as a whole.
- Your seed phrase is never needed. A miner and a pool only need your public address. Anyone who asks for your seed (recovery) phrase or private key is trying to steal your coins.
- Power, heat and hardware. Mining runs the card at full load all day. Watch GPU, hotspot and memory temperatures, keep the room ventilated, and do not leave a rig running unattended near anything flammable. A power limit or undervolt usually costs a little hashrate and saves a lot of power. Check that your power supply and cables are rated for the load.
- Profit is an estimate. Price, network hashrate and pool luck change every hour. The calculator shows today's numbers, not a promise. Small coins can be hard to sell, and taxes on mined coins apply in many countries. Nothing here is financial advice.
