How to mine Pearl (PRL)

Pearl is a layer-1 blockchain built on Proof-of-Useful-Work: mining is a by-product of large matrix multiplications, the same arithmetic AI models run on, so a GPU's AI compute secures the chain. It launched in 2026 and is mined on AMD and NVIDIA GPUs with PearlHash.

1Get a wallet

You need a Pearl address to receive what you mine. Use an official wallet:

Pearl mining addresses are Taproot addresses starting with prl1p (63 characters in every example we have seen).

Write the seed phrase down on paper and keep it offline. The miner and the pool only ever need the public address.

2Pick a pool

A pool combines many miners so you get paid steadily instead of waiting to find a whole block. Live fees and payouts for every pool are on the pools table.

Kryptex regions: add -eu, -us, -br, -sg, -hk, -ru or -ae after the coin in the host name (same ports). Port 7048 is plain, 8048 is TLS. Logins are wallet/worker; Kryptex's own templates also use wallet.worker for some miners. Kryptex accepts a custom share difficulty in the password field (d=..., 2097152-4294967296). HeroMiners regions: replace de with fr, es, fi, ru, ca, us, us2, us3, br, hk, kr, sg, tr or au. The same port takes plain and TLS connections. Solo mining: solo:YOUR_WALLET. LuckyPool has 19 regional hosts (pearl-eu1, pearl-us-west, pearl-sg1, pearl-hk and more) and ports 3361 / 3362 for rigs over 500 / 1,000 TH/s; it also offers optional NOCK merge mining. 2Miners also has us-prl and asia-prl hosts. PearlFortune (pearlfortune.org) charges 2 % PPLNS or 5 % PPS; K1Pool needs an account. Live fees for all of them are on the pools table.

redPeaRL runs only on the RX 9070 XT and RX 9060 XT; on other cards pick from the rest. lolMiner and Rigel do not support Pearl. Our measured hashrates for 27 cards are on the calculator page.

4Set it up

Replace YOUR_WALLET with your address and YOUR_WORKER with a name for this machine. On Windows, save the line as a .bat file in the miner's folder and double-click it. On Linux, run it from the miner's folder.

redPeaRL recommended for RX 9070 XT / 9060 XT

  1. Download the latest release and check the SHA-256 shown on the release page: Get-FileHash .\redpearl-miner.exe -Algorithm SHA256.
  2. Unzip anywhere, for example C:\redPeaRL\. Keep the kernels folder next to redpearl-miner.exe.
  3. Double-click Start-redpearl-miner.bat once. The miner writes redpearl.toml next to the exe and stops.
  4. Open redpearl.toml in Notepad, remove the # in front of wallet =, paste your PRL address, and pick a pool (Kryptex is the default; HeroMiners, LuckyPool, PearlFortune and Rabid Pool are built in). Save.
  5. Start it again, type I agree at the licence prompt, and it runs a 10-second GPU self-test, connects and prints a status line with TH/s, GH/J, power, clocks and temperatures.
redpearl.toml
wallet = "YOUR_WALLET"
worker = "YOUR_WORKER"

# kryptex | herominers | luckypool | pearlfortune | rabidmining, or a URL such as "stratum+ssl://host"
pool = "kryptex"
# region of the preset (us, eu, ...) or auto = the fastest from here
region = "auto"

redPeaRL never changes your GPU settings: set power limit, undervolt and fans in AMD Adrenalin. Run redpearl-miner.exe --benchmark 60 to test a card without a wallet or pool, and --pool-test to time every pool region from your connection. The beta is not code-signed yet, so SmartScreen or Defender may warn; the SHA-256 on the release page is how you know the file is ours.

Kryptex's own miner. For NVIDIA on Linux it recommends Ubuntu 24.04+ with a CUDA 13 driver; --rocm-runtime 6|7 picks the AMD runtime.

5Check it works

  • Within a few minutes the miner should print accepted shares. Rejected or stale shares above a few percent mean a problem with the connection, the clocks or the pool address.
  • Open your pool's dashboard and search for your address. Your worker appears after its first shares; pool hashrate settles over an hour or so.
  • Watch temperatures for the first hour: GPU core, hotspot and memory.
  • redPeaRL, KRig and most other Pearl miners print a status line with TH/s; the pool's figure should match it within a few percent over an hour.

Warnings and cautions

Pearl-specific

  • Keep your miner up to date. Pearl has changed its proof format before (the rank-128 softfork at block 96,251 and the certificate-v3 hardfork at block 99,000, both in August 2026), and old miners were rejected afterwards. Pearl Research is also developing an FP8 "certificate v4" format (pull request #311, still open on 19 October 2026); a change like that can require new miners and could change which GPUs mine well.
  • PearlHash uses its own protocol: in our test (18 October 2026) only WildRig worked there. Use the other pools with the other miners.
  • LuckyPool's optional NOCK merge mining needs a native Nockchain address, not a 0x token address.
  • Pearl mining is heavy matrix work: GPU and memory run hot and draw full power. A power limit or undervolt in AMD Adrenalin or MSI Afterburner usually costs little hashrate per watt saved.

For every coin

  • Download miners only from the official page. Use the GitHub release or website linked in the miner table. Fake miners that steal wallets or mine to someone else are common. Where the developer publishes SHA-256 checksums, compare them before the first start (Windows: Get-FileHash .\file.zip -Algorithm SHA256; Linux: sha256sum file.tar.gz).
  • Antivirus warnings. Windows Defender and other antivirus tools flag almost every GPU miner as a "potentially unwanted" program, because malware bundles them. Add a folder exclusion only for a miner you downloaded from its official page and checked, and never turn protection off as a whole.
  • Your seed phrase is never needed. A miner and a pool only need your public address. Anyone who asks for your seed (recovery) phrase or private key is trying to steal your coins.
  • Power, heat and hardware. Mining runs the card at full load all day. Watch GPU, hotspot and memory temperatures, keep the room ventilated, and do not leave a rig running unattended near anything flammable. A power limit or undervolt usually costs a little hashrate and saves a lot of power. Check that your power supply and cables are rated for the load.
  • Profit is an estimate. Price, network hashrate and pool luck change every hour. The calculator shows today's numbers, not a promise. Small coins can be hard to sell, and taxes on mined coins apply in many countries. Nothing here is financial advice.
