QUAI

How to mine Quai (QUAI)

Quai Network describes itself as a blockchain for an economy where energy, AI and compute become money. Its Cyprus-1 zone is mined by Scrypt and SHA-256 ASICs and by GPUs on KawPow - this guide covers the GPU side.

1Get a wallet

You need a Quai address to receive what you mine. Use an official wallet:

  • Pelagus - open-source browser wallet for QUAI and Qi

Quai addresses look like Ethereum addresses (0x + 40 hex characters) and start with 0x00 on Cyprus-1. Pools pay QUAI, so use a Quai-ledger (0x00...) address, not a Qi one.

Write the seed phrase down on paper and keep it offline. The miner and the pool only ever need the public address.

2Pick a pool

A pool combines many miners so you get paid steadily instead of waiting to find a whole block. Live fees and payouts for every pool are on the pools table.

HeroMinersde.quai.herominers.com:1185de.quai.herominers.com:1185wallet as user, worker in its own field0.9 % (PROP)from 5 QUAI

Kryptex regions: add -eu, -us, -br, -sg, -hk, -ru or -ae after the coin in the host name (same ports). Port 7043 is plain, 8043 is TLS. Logins are wallet/worker (BzMiner: wallet.worker). HeroMiners regions: replace de with fi, ca, us, us2, br, hk, sg, tr, kr, in or au. The same port takes plain and TLS connections. Solo mining: solo:YOUR_WALLET. HeroMiners port 1186 is for NiceHash. HeroMiners wants the worker name in a separate field (Rigel -w, SRBMiner --password).

3Pick a miner

SRBMiner-MULTIAMD, NVIDIA, Intel0.85 %kawpowofficial page
RigelNVIDIA1 %kawpow --coin quaiofficial page
WildRig MultiAMD, NVIDIA, Intel0.75 %kawpowofficial page

Quai's docs list SRBMiner-MULTI, Rigel and WildRig Multi for KawPow. BzMiner's README does not list Quai, and lolMiner has no KawPow.

4Set it up

Replace YOUR_WALLET with your address and YOUR_WORKER with a name for this machine. On Windows, save the line as a .bat file in the miner's folder and double-click it. On Linux, run it from the miner's folder.

SRBMiner-MULTI

Windows (.bat)
@echo off
cd /d "%~dp0"
SRBMiner-MULTI.exe --disable-cpu --algorithm kawpow --pool quai-kawpow.kryptex.network:8043 --wallet YOUR_WALLET/YOUR_WORKER --tls true
pause

HeroMiners instead: SRBMiner-MULTI.exe --disable-cpu --algorithm kawpow --pool de.quai.herominers.com:1185 --wallet YOUR_WALLET --password YOUR_WORKER

Syntax from the miner's own documentation.

Rigel

Windows (.bat)
@echo off
cd /d "%~dp0"
rigel.exe -a kawpow --coin quai -o stratum+tcp://quai-kawpow.kryptex.network:7043 -u YOUR_WALLET/YOUR_WORKER
pause

Rigel 1.23.1 removed the old quai algorithm: use -a kawpow --coin quai.

Syntax from the miner's own documentation.

WildRig Multi

Windows (.bat)
@echo off
cd /d "%~dp0"
wildrig.exe -a kawpow -o stratum+tcp://quai-kawpow.kryptex.network:7043 -u YOUR_WALLET/YOUR_WORKER -p x
pause

WildRig's README has no example for this pool; the line uses only its documented flags (-a, -o, -u, -p) over plain TCP. Only the Windows program name is confirmed.

Syntax from the miner's own documentation.

5Check it works

  • Within a few minutes the miner should print accepted shares. Rejected or stale shares above a few percent mean a problem with the connection, the clocks or the pool address.
  • Open your pool's dashboard and search for your address. Your worker appears after its first shares; pool hashrate settles over an hour or so.
  • Watch temperatures for the first hour: GPU core, hotspot and memory.

Warnings and cautions

Quai-specific

  • Payouts are slow. Kryptex says Quai blocks take about two weeks to confirm before they pay out.
  • Point KawPow miners only at KawPow ports. Kryptex has delisted its old ProgPoW Quai pool.
  • Mine to your own Pelagus wallet. Kryptex's Quai page noted that the CoinEx exchange stopped Quai deposits on 22 September 2026.
  • Kryptex asks for 8 GB of VRAM or more and warns that KawPow runs hot - overclock carefully.
  • Kryptex's guide: antivirus tools dislike miners - exclude only the miner's files and allow the app if your antivirus blocks "potentially unwanted" programs; never switch protection off entirely.

For every coin

  • Download miners only from the official page. Use the GitHub release or website linked in the miner table. Fake miners that steal wallets or mine to someone else are common. Where the developer publishes SHA-256 checksums, compare them before the first start (Windows: Get-FileHash .\file.zip -Algorithm SHA256; Linux: sha256sum file.tar.gz).
  • Antivirus warnings. Windows Defender and other antivirus tools flag almost every GPU miner as a "potentially unwanted" program, because malware bundles them. Add a folder exclusion only for a miner you downloaded from its official page and checked, and never turn protection off as a whole.
  • Your seed phrase is never needed. A miner and a pool only need your public address. Anyone who asks for your seed (recovery) phrase or private key is trying to steal your coins.
  • Power, heat and hardware. Mining runs the card at full load all day. Watch GPU, hotspot and memory temperatures, keep the room ventilated, and do not leave a rig running unattended near anything flammable. A power limit or undervolt usually costs a little hashrate and saves a lot of power. Check that your power supply and cables are rated for the load.
  • Profit is an estimate. Price, network hashrate and pool luck change every hour. The calculator shows today's numbers, not a promise. Small coins can be hard to sell, and taxes on mined coins apply in many countries. Nothing here is financial advice.
